Terms and conditions

Purpose

These terms and conditions govern the tour guiding services offered by Beshoy Bedear Goda, a licensed tour guide operating in Egypt, through the JC Tours website.

Nature of the service

JC Tours offers guiding services: accompaniment by a licensed guide, historical and cultural commentary, and organisation of the visit for the agreed time. What the price covers differs by product type, and that distinction matters.

Day and half-day excursions

For an excursion, the price shown covers the guide's fee AND private transport during the excursion: pickup at the client's hotel, travel between the sites, and the return. It does not include entrance tickets to sites and museums, meals and drinks, or accommodation.

Multi-day tours

For a multi-day tour, the price shown covers the guiding fee alone. It does not include entrance tickets, ground transport, domestic flights, accommodation, any cruise, or meals. Those elements are arranged with the client and billed separately, with no markup by JC Tours. A multi-day tour does not constitute a travel-agency package.

Minimum number of participants

Excursions and multi-day tours are bookable from two travellers. A solo traveller may book: the service is then billed at the rate applicable to two people. No maximum group size is imposed; beyond fifteen participants, booking is arranged by direct contact rather than online.

Booking process

• The client submits a booking request through the site (quote or booking form), stating the desired date(s), number of participants, and the excursion or tour concerned.
• JC Tours checks the availability of a licensed guide, then confirms the booking by e-mail within 24 hours.
• The booking is considered final only once this written e-mail confirmation has been received.
• No online payment is requested at the time of booking. Payment is made in person, directly to the guide, on the day of the service.

Deposit and payment

No deposit is taken at present: online payment is not active on this site. No card details are requested, entered or stored at any point in the booking journey.

TODO: confirm — how the deposit interacts with the free 48-hour cancellation window: is the deposit refunded in full when a booking is cancelled inside that window? This must be decided by the operator before online payments are switched on. See PLACEHOLDERS.md.

Several departures possible per date

JC Tours works with several licensed guides, so more than one departure may take place on the same date, each reserved for a single group: a confirmed booking remains strictly private, and the client is never merged with another group.

Cancellation

The client may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled date of the excursion or circuit, by informing Beshoy Bedear Goda by e-mail or WhatsApp. After that point, cancellation may no longer be free of charge; TODO: confirm — the exact terms and any fees for late cancellation, to be validated.

Should Beshoy Bedear Goda need to cancel a confirmed booking for reasons of his own (illness, unavailability, force majeure), he will inform the client as soon as possible and offer, depending on the situation, a rescheduled date or a full refund of any sums already paid.

Client obligations

• Arrive at the agreed place and time for the start of the service.
• Follow the access and conduct rules in force at the sites visited (museums, archaeological sites, places of worship).
• Provide accurate information when booking (number of participants, pickup location, contact details).

Liability

Beshoy Bedear Goda's liability is limited to the proper delivery of the guiding service itself. He cannot be held liable for the acts, services, or failures of third parties that fall outside his service: airlines, hotels, transport providers, site management bodies, ticketing, or any event of force majeure.

Governing law
