No, no online payment is required to book. The booking is confirmed by e-mail within 24 hours of your request, and payment is made directly on site, on the day of the tour.

Yes, cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the tour starts. Just let us know by e-mail or WhatsApp; after that window, write to us directly and we will look at the options.

Can two groups book the same date?

Yes. JC Tours works with several licensed French-speaking Egyptologist guides, so more than one departure per date is possible. Each group stays strictly private: your guide works with your party alone that day, and you are never merged with another group.

Do I need to be at least two people to book?

Yes, our excursions and multi-day tours start at two travellers. Travelling solo? That's fine — the tour is simply billed at the two-person rate.

What does the listed price include?

For an excursion, the price shown covers the guide's fee and private transport during the day: hotel pickup, travel between the sites, drop-off. It does not include entrance tickets or meals. For a multi-day tour, the price covers the guide's fee alone, with transport arranged and billed separately.

Why aren't entrance tickets and meals included?

Because we take no markup on tickets and no commission from suppliers. You buy your own tickets at the official price displayed on site, and you choose freely where to eat. No detour to a partner shop is ever imposed.

Why is transport included in excursions but not in multi-day tours?

An excursion runs for one day around a single city: the vehicle and driver are part of the service and are covered by the price. A multi-day tour involves domestic flights, hotels and sometimes a cruise, where the choice and the budget are yours: we arrange them with you, but they are billed separately, with no markup on our part.

Is the listed price per person or for the whole group?

The base price is a flat fee for two travellers; each additional traveller adds a fixed supplement, which drops from the fifth person onward. The "from €X per person" figure is the two-person rate — the highest per-person rate there is: the larger your party, the less each person pays.

Does the guide pick me up at my hotel?

Yes, pickup is from your hotel within the covered areas, and transport during the excursion is included in the price. The exact meeting point is confirmed with you when you book, depending on where you are staying and which excursion you have chosen.

How can I contact the guide before or during my stay?

The simplest way is WhatsApp, for a quick answer both before and during your stay. We stay reachable throughout your trip to adjust a schedule or answer a last-minute question.

How far in advance should I book my excursion?

You can book up to 365 days ahead, and you should allow at least 2 days' notice before the date you want. Booking early is still advisable in high season, so a French-speaking guide can be assigned to you.

Do you offer excursions outside Cairo and Giza?

Yes. Cairo and Giza are our main area, but we also take travellers to Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan. These more distant destinations are usually arranged in advance: the best route is to talk to us, or to use the tailor-made trip form.

Is there a maximum group size?

No cap is imposed: online booking takes up to 15 travellers, and beyond that simply write to us and we will organise it. Whatever the size, the group stays yours — we never put together travellers who do not know each other.

Are your tours really private?

Yes. Every departure is for one group only: you, your party, and your guide. The minimum is two people, no maximum is imposed, and the pace of the day is yours. You are never merged with travellers you do not know, and never put on a coach.

What languages do your guides speak?

Our guides work in French, English and Arabic. French is our main working language, which sets us apart in a market that is overwhelmingly English-speaking in Egypt.

Yes. Every guide working with JC Tours is a licensed Egyptologist guide holding the professional card of the Egyptian Tourist Guides Syndicate.

Will I be taken to shops or commercial stops during the tour?

No, never: no shopping stop is imposed during our tours. The itinerary follows only what was agreed with you, with no detour to partner shops and no hidden commission on your purchases.
